From November 2nd through the 9th, 2020, MSU had 100 5th year pharmacy students and 10 lecturers deployed to serve over 60 families living in the Ban Huay Lheum village in the Roi Et province. The objectives of this camp were learning about community life and culture, health promotion implementation in a community, finding solutions to real health issues, gaining experience in analytical thinking, and providing health services to people including medication use, chronic disease screening, pesticide residue screening, and knowledge of the use of medications. The camp was serving the educational mission of the 4 C’s: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication by the module “Health Promotion”. Our gratitude goes to all the community leaders, directors of the health promotion hospital, and the local community governors.
