The Health Services and Pharmacy Practice Research and Innovation (HSPRI) was informally established in 2016. Currently, HSPRI has 26 members working as pharmacy lecturers and researchers. Members have expertise in the following research areas: pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, pharmacotherapy, medication errors, home health care services, development/improvement of clinical pharmacy services, and development of educational IT tools to improve students’ learning.
Apart from the research areas mentioned above, we have focused more on the research areas to either serve or comply with the national health policy and agendas. These areas include:
HSPRI has aimed to bring health care stakeholders both nationally and internationally to share ideas to create real world research that can help to improve health care services and system for improving patients’ care and quality of life. One of the goals of the HSPRI is to bring together national and international healthcare workers to do real world research that will improve healthcare systems and services and thus improve the care and quality of life for patients. This also facilitates strong evidence, disseminate best practice and advance health care services. The direction of the HSPRI is to do research with strong evidence, determine best practices, and develop advanced clinical services.
