Dr. Kittiboonyakun has earned a PhD degree in primary care pharmacy from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK since 2011. She has been working as a researcher in the areas of health services and pharmacy practice research since then. Furthermore, she has been teaching in clinical pharmacy areas and practice for over 15 years as well as practicing home care with other health care professionals over 5 years.
Dr. Kittiboonyakun’s research expertise is in the areas of clinical and social pharmacy using mixed research methods including quantitative and qualitative research as well as only qualitative research to facilitate the improvement of pharmacy services in hospitals. This research has been undertaken by hospital pharmacists studying for a master degree and seeking for the improvement of their clinical pharmacy routine. Her other research interests are also in compliance with WHO sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the national health policy and strategy focusing on the development plan for people and service excellence. Those research interests include home health care, telepharmacy, pharmacy innovation, pharmacy education and pain management focusing on pharmacist’s roles and pain medication use. Dr. Kittiboonyakun’s research really aims to have some contributions to the development and/or the improvement of chronic disease patients’ health outcomes including clinical, economic and quality of life.
