Dr. Sakulrat Rattanakiat is a lecturer in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology at the  Pharmaceutical Sciences Group, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahasarakham University, Thailand. She has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy since 2015. Her area of expertise is mainly related to microbiology and bioactivity of natural products. Dr Rattanakiat obtained her PhD from Kyoto University, Japan in 2009, supported by a full scholarship from the Japan Government. Her doctoral dissertation was “Development of novel DNA-based nanosized drug delivery systems using DNA containing unmethylated CpG dinucleotides”. After being back in MSU, Dr Rattanakiat has contributed a lot of work to the faculty in particular teaching, research and learning activity for PharmD students. Currently, she is on the committee of the Doctoral Programme in Pharmacy. Moreover, she is one of the editorial board members of Journal of Health Science Nakhonratchasima College. At present, she has a great interest in studying antimicrobial activity and other bioactivity of natural products.
