Between January 8th and 31st, 2024, an exchange program welcomed students from esteemed institutions such as the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Sanata Dharma University, and Showa University, representing the US, Indonesia, and Japan respectively. This initiative aimed to immerse participants in a multifaceted exploration of pharmacy practices. This activity was organized by faculty members of Faculty of Pharmacy, MSU: Pattarin Kittiboonyakun, PhD, Pawich Paktipat, PharmD, BCP, Piangkwan Srimongkhol, PharmD, and Pansakon Wattanachai, PharmD, assistant professors and lecturers in the Divison of Clinical Pharmacy in collaboration with Burapha Primary Health Service Center.
Throughout the program, students embarked on an array of activities, including conducting thorough home visits to patients in need of specialized medication care. During these visits, they meticulously performed medication checks, provided insightful guidance on usage, and delivered personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Moreover, students actively engaged in medication reviews, counseling sessions, and collaborative endeavors aimed at optimizing patient outcomes. This holistic approach not only honed their clinical skills but also nurtured a deeper understanding of diverse healthcare systems and cultural nuances in pharmacy practice.
