The 5th-year students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahasarakham University, was conducted in Wang Saeng sub-district. This initiative aimed to provide pharmacy students with an in-depth understanding of community life and health dynamics. Through home visits and community exploration, students engaged directly with local residents to observe their lifestyles, gain practical insights into prevalent health issues, and innovate health-promotion strategies tailored to the community’s needs.
The project sought to enhance students’ knowledge of real-world health conditions by developing their ability to assess and address community health challenges. Activities included providing academic services, educating community members on safe medication practices, and delivering health information aligned with the community’s most pressing health concerns. Students also participated in health screenings, which served as a foundational experience for applying analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice.
Held from October 28 to November 1, 2024, this project involved 5th-year students, faculty board members, and approximately 150 households. The project represented a practical training ground, equipping students with essential competencies to become skilled health professionals capable of addressing the unique challenges of community health care.
