On July 24th, 2024, 6th year pharmacy students from Mahasarakham University (MSU), accompanied by MSU community pharmacy managers, Dr. Piangkwan Srimongkol, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawit Paktipat, and Mr. Ratreerat Karn-aroon, established a booth at the Student Affairs Division to provide services for smoking cessation. This activity garnered significant student engagement.
The MSU community pharmacy is located within Mahasarakham University. As a member of the Pharmacy Volunteer Network for Smoking Cessation. Community pharmacies play a crucial role in offering smoking cessation assistance due to their accessibility and convenience as public service providers. Furthermore, the MSU community pharmacy offers chronic disease screening services, modify health practices to mitigate the likelihood of developing chronic illnesses and provide monitoring services for individuals with non-communicable disease (NCD).
