Dr Saramunee is a lecturer in social pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahasarakham University, Thailand. She has been appointed as Assistant Professor of Pharmacy since 2016. Her area of expertise is mainly related to public health pharmacy, health service research and primary care pharmacy. Dr Saramunee obtained her PhD from Liverpool John Moores University in 2013, supported by a full scholarship by the Royal Thai Government. Her doctoral research project was to thoroughly explore the general public’s perspective towards community pharmacy public health services in North West England using both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. After being back in MSU, Dr Saramunee has contributed a lot of work to the faculty in particular teaching PharmD students and post-graduate students. Her research area involves pharmacy practice, primary care pharmacy, and health service research. Currently, she is the leader of the Master Programme in Primary Care Pharmacy. Moreover, she is one of the editorial board members of the leading pharmacy journals Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP) and Exploratory Research in Clinical and Social Pharmacy (ERSCP). At present, she has a great interest in studying the situation of primary care pharmacy in Thailand and trying to evaluate its impacts on the health system and society.
