Center for Drug System Monitoring and Development in Northeastern Thailand Project

Drug System Monitoring and Development Center (DMDC) supported by Thai Health Promotion Foundation and Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Pharmacy, as called กพย., aims to strengthen drug system in local areas together with to build capacity of local strategic partners in all regions of Thailand. In 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Surasak Chaiyasong together with other members of Social Pharmacy Research Unit (SPRU), Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahaarakham University were commissioned by DMDC to carry out a project to establish a Center for Drug System Monitoring and Development in Northeastern Thailand. This project is to provide technical support to drug system network in the northeast and grant a project to monitor and develop drug system in five areas including rational drug use in community (RDU community), antimicrobial resistance (AMR), cross-border drug and health products, and cannabis for medical use. This project is related to several areas of SDGs in particular goal no.3 ensure healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages and goal no.17 partnerships to achieve the goal.
