Interprofessional Education (IPE)

Interprofessional Education or IPE is a multidisciplinary learning activity. In the second semester of 2021, IPE organized by Mahasarakham University (MSU) focused on INHOMESS, which was a tool to be used for home-based care activity. This year, we collaborated with Muang Maha Sarakham Municipality, Burapha Health Center, and village health volunteers from Apisit 1 Community to help arrange activities.

We had a total of approximately 600 students from four different faculties, which were Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Informatics from Mahasarakham University participated in this event. We utilized a hybrid system this year because of the COVID-19 situation. Students participated in an online training program via Cisco Webex, which contained four different learning stations on February 5, 2021. Students subsequently went on to conduct their home-based care activities at Apisit 1 Community on February 26, 2021. Students later presented their reports of activities to their group advisors on March 5, 2021. We appreciated that students still were able to work excellently as a team despite the COVID-19 situation and restrictions at that time.

We would like to thank everyone for helping and supporting this activity. Special thanks to faculty members from six faculties (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Informatics, and Architecture, Urban Design, and Creative Arts), Muang Maha Sarakham Municipality, Burapha Health Center for helping with this activity, and Office of General Education, MSU for providing a grant. More importantly, thank you Kritsanee Saramunee, PhD an assistant professor from Faculty of Pharmacy for being an excellent coordinator.
